I'm good at what I do because my work is personal.

My Story

I've spent most of my life in transition in one way or another.  I'm actually drawn towards change, because it's familiar. I know what it's like to be the "new kid" and the outsider, so I developed a strong appreciation for connection, inclusion and belonging in all aspects of my life.  I was raised by a social worker and a military veteran entrepreneur who inspired me to serve others, especially the newcomers and underdogs.

My diverse professional experience includes roles in entrepreneurship, sales, business development and leadership programs in both small private companies and large telecom giants.  I'm an award-winning sales person as a result of my relationship building skills, customer service focus and competitive edge. I'm proudly considered an inspiring leader by many people I've had the pleasure to work with.

I embrace transitions in my personal life as well.  I confidently married an active-duty U.S. Marine and with blind ambition, assumed the roles of military spouse, stepmother to two daughters and twin mom.

As the world became smaller due to the advances in technology, I realized I needed more education in order to make an even greater impact. In August 2018, I  earned a graduate degree in Organization Development from Pepperdine University.  The curriculum included a cross-cultural emphasis with organizational change and diversity projects with clients in Washington DC, China, France and Costa Rica.

During graduate school I also had the honor to work with service members on their own military-civilian culture and career transition journeys.  One retiring Marine told me that he was more afraid of transition than he was the day he left for boot camp at eighteen years old. His admission of fear had a profound impact on me and has been the foundation of my work and education for the last five years.

Today, I leverage my expertise to help organizations leverage veteran talent to create cultures of belonging for all. My priority is to change the world by doing good work with the right partners, delivering meaningful and sustainable results and making a positive difference to people.

My work is a team effort.  This is my 9 year old daughter and the sign she made for a graduation ceremony in 2017.
